Salim Khan Health Update: Daisy Shah Says Salman Khan’s Father ‘Is Stable And Out Of Danger’

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, father of Bollywood star Salman Khan, is stable and recovering after undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai following a minor brain haemorrhage earlier this month. The 90-year-old legend was admitted to the hospital on February 17, 2026, prompting concern from fans and the film fraternity alike.

Bollywood actress Daisy Shah, who co-starred with Salman Khan in Jai Ho and Race 3, offered a reassuring update on Salim Khan’s condition in a recent conversation with Filmygyan. Shah revealed that although she has not met him in person at the hospital, she has been in constant touch with Salman Khan and his family to stay updated on his health. She said, “I couldn’t meet Salim sir, but I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Salim sir is fine now. He is stable. The surgery went well; it was a success and he is under observation. But he is out of danger,” providing much-needed relief to well-wishers following days of anxiety.

Medical teams performed a Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) procedure soon after his admission to address the haemorrhage, and reports suggest he has been responding positively to treatment. Due to his advanced age, doctors have noted that while his condition is stable, a gradual recovery is expected as he continues to recuperate in the Intensive Care Unit.

The Khan family has maintained strict privacy regarding his hospitalization, expressing dissatisfaction after initial updates were shared publicly. They have requested that future information about his health come directly from the family rather than through hospital bulletins or media statements.

Despite the privacy appeal, several Bollywood figures—including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh and Javed Akhtar—have visited Lilavati Hospital to offer their support, underscoring the deep respect and solidarity within the film industry for the legendary writer.
